Welcome to P4!

Our teacher is Mrs Millar and our classroom assistants are Miss Cunningham, Miss Moorhead and Miss Carson.

We are having lots of fun learning together.

Houses and Homes

Our topic this term is Houses and Homes.

We have had lots of fun learning about houses around the world and at home. We have enjoyed making houses from lots of different materials and have talked about what our dream home would look like.

 

As part of our topic Houses and Homes, we created a display on the Great Fire of London

This year P4 done an assembly on Anti- Bullying.

Fighting Words 

We were delighted to welcome back Hannah, one of our first Cranmore pupils to work with P4 on writing a story which will be printed for children in Northern Ireland. We enjoyed thinking of new characters, for example Michael Angelo, Sniper, Morris and Barbara. 

 

Chapter 1 - The Fake Party

Once upon a time there was a crocodile named Michael Angelo. Michael Angelo had 8 legs and shiny teeth. He was a very friendly crocodile and was training to be a ninja. His best friend was a mouse named Sniper who was also training to be a ninja, because she didn’t want to be caught by cats anymore. They lived together in a caravan in Ballycastle near to the sea because Michael Angelo needed to swim every year.

One morning, they woke up at 5am, they got out of bed and made tuna sandwiches and watermelon juice for their breakfast. They got dressed in their black Gi and tied them with their white belts. They went outside and went into Ballycastle town. They wanted to practice climbing up walls, so they went to find an alleyway.

On their way, they found a human. This human’s name was Morris and he was a plumber. Someone’s sink had broken and he was on his way to fix it.

“hi!” said Morris “I’m throwing a party for sharks and mice, would you like to come?”

“Yeah sure” said Michael Angelo.

They hopped in the back of Morris’ BMW and drove to the party. When they got there the place was full of crocodiles. Little did they know, the crocodiles were actually sharks and soldiers in disguise……

Questions for the next class:

• Who is John and why is he suspicious?
• How can you include Barbara in the story?
• Is John good or bad?

‘Healthy Me’

P4 enjoyed a 'Healthy Me' Workshop with Aoife from Our Generation Project. She reminded us about the importance of keeping healthy and looking after our mental health.

We all looked amazing with our Christmas Jumpers for Christmas Jumper Day!
