Playgroup

                 Welcome to Playgroup.

Our topic this month is Fairy Tales.

Parents. Can you help?
If you have any spare materials at home that we could use to drape over the role play area, this would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have a CD player that you no longer need, we would be very grateful.

                               Fitness Freddie
Playgroup really enjoyed taking part in Fitness Freddie's work out.  We jumped, danced and had fun while keeping fit.

Our topic this month is about Winter and the Cold Lands.

Snack Time.

For snack today we had pasta with a choice of three sauces, cheese, tomato and plain.  All the children had a go at sampling the pasta and some even came back for more!!

A big thankyou to all those parents who have contributed to our water tray play.  Look at the picture below to see the fun we had.  Please keep bringing ice in as the children are really enjoying this topic.

Playgroup children have been using a Puppet Theatre to act out their ideas and feelings using polar puppets.

Parents,  we need your help!!
If
you have an ice maker at home or a freezer, we could do with some ice cube,  Also, water that is frozen in different shaped containers or tubes of water for the water tray would be greatly appreciated.  Feel free to put toys into the water before freezing.  This acts as a great excitment for the children especially when the ice begins to melt.

Thankyou to everyone who supported the Christmas Fair.  It was a great success.

Playgroup will be holding their own Christmas Concert on Wednesday 21 December @ 11.30.  Everyone is very welcome .

Santa and Mrs Claus came to playgroup to visit all the boys and girls. The children were very excited and were well behaved.

Playgroup celebrated Cultural Diversity.  A big thankyou goes to Dilsha for bringing in hot popadoms to share with her friends.  Everyone thought they were yummy!

                          Parents! Can you help!
We are learning about Autumn and the changes in our environment. Please can you bring in some bags of Autumn leaves for our outdoor area. Thank you.

Also, if you are having an Autumn spring clean, we would greatly appreciate any unwanted toys, dresing up costumes or equipment suitable for both our indoor and outdoor area. We are in particular need of large wheeled vehicles such as bikes and tractors and small apparatus such as balls and skittles.

Thank you for your support.
