P1-P7 enjoyed a very successful Healthy Lifestyles Week in school. There were several activities taking place all week. Each class were learning about different aspects of living a healthy lifestyle. The Belfast Community Sports Development Newtwork delivered an active programme in order for children to talk about healthy food, the importance of drinking water, exercising and eating a balanced diet.
Each class also had a visit from the dentist who spoke about the importance of looking after our teeth and ensuring we brush our teeth twice a day!
All pupils walked a mile a day throughout the week and participated in Gonoodle dances within their clasrooms, the children enjoyed keeping fit so let’s keeping working on it.
On Friday everyone enjoyed a fun-filled exercise session which involved a range of games including Touch Rugby and Boxercise. The children had great fun at the same time as keeping healthy. This is a great opportunity to raise funds for school.
A healthy diet and regular exercise are key to a healthy lifestyle. Congratulations to all those who made a special effort. Keep up the good work!
We really appreciate your contributions towards our sponsor fitness day and all money raised will be used to enrich the learning experiences of the children. Please return all sponsor money by Monday 13 February.
