Mater Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department

Dear Sir/Madam

Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is currently engaging with parents around the use of the Mater Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department by under 14-year-olds. In 2015 it became necessary for clinical reasons to temporarily divert children under 14 to the Accident and Emergency Department in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. This divert is still in place at the moment.

We have devised a short questionnaire for parents to establish what their experience has been and what they expect of an emergency department for children. We would really appreciate if you could send out the link to the questionnaire, via your parent mail or parent text.

Please see the link to this survey: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/MaterEDU14/

Should you have any queries, please contact Gabi Mornhinweg, gabi.mornhinweg@belfasttrust.hscni.net or tel 07738945121

Many thanks for your assistance with this matter

Yours faithfully

Gabi Mornhinweg
