Dear Parent
Last year saw the opening of our brand new, state of the art, Pre-school building. The current pre-school class have benefitted from the excellent accommodation and resources.
In Cranmore we are extremely proud of the excellent provision provided by our Pre-school. It has always been the intention of the Board of Governors to seek to develop statutory nursery provision on our school site. This can only be realised if the Board of Governors present a
Development Proposal to the Minister of Education for his approval. The benefits of nursery status include the ability to access additional support services in relation to health, attendance, safeguarding and Special Educational Needs. These services are not available to a pre-school voluntary playgroup. We feel that our children are at a disadvantage because they can not access these services until Primary 1.
We are currently canvassing support for a Development Proposal requesting the establishment of a 26 place nursery unit at Cranmore Integrated Primary School. The questionnaire will only take a few minutes to complete but it is important that as many of our parents make a response.
Taking the opinion of you, the parents, is an important part of the Development Proposal Process. The questionnaire can be completed on the attached page and returned to school with your child or it can be completed online at the following address:

In the past we have mobilised your ‘parent power’ and achieved great things. Once again I ask you to support us as we seek to grow and develop our school for the future that lies ahead.
I would kindly ask for you to respond by Friday 22 April 2015.
Yours sincerely
Mr William Doherty
Principal
