Academic Success

As an integrated primary school we celebrate all achievement made by our pupils right across the entire curriculum. When it comes to measuring what pupils have attained, the school takes the view that what matters most is the progress that pupils have made from the point of their previous assessment. Our most recent academic results demonstrate that we are continuing to significantly out perform schools across Belfast and indeed our averages are exceeding the Northern Ireland averages for the end of Key Stage Assessments.

The following statement is issued by the Department of Education “Please note that from the 2012/13 school year, all schools assess pupils using the more challenging Levels of Progression. Due to the more demanding nature of the Levels of Progression, the outcomes for some pupils are likely to seem lower than might have been the case if assessment had been carried out using the previous system of assessment. 2017/18 outcomes are not therefore directly comparable with results in previous years.”

Northern Ireland Averages are given in brackets. Due to industrial action in 2013-2018 Northern Ireland Averages are not an accurate reflection of pupil performance across the province.
